GREAT DECISIONS DISCUSSIONS ARE STARTING ON SEPTEMBER 10. JOIN NOW!

The World Affairs Council of Harrisburg is starting a new Great Decisions discussions series at Messiah Village and Landis Homes!

Great Decisions is America’s largest discussion program on world affairs!

The program highlights eight of the most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans each year. Great Decisions provides background information, current data and policy options for each issue and serves as the focal text for discussion groups.

Each of the 8 forums will include a half-hour documentary on the issue with the commentaries of the most important figures in international affairs along with introductory remarks from every living U.S. Secretary of State,  followed by a discussion facilitated by an expert on the topic.

The topics for the discussions include:

  • Defense Technology
  • Israel and the U.S.
  • Turkey’s Challenges
  • Islamic Awakening
  • Energy Independence
  • Food and Climate
  • China’s Foreign Policy
  • U.S. Trade Policy

 First discussion on Defense Technology will take place on September 10 at 4.30 pm at Messiah Village.
