The Peace Symposium is an annual day-long conference featuring internationally recognized experts as well as local community leaders working to bridge differences, promote appreciation of diverse cultures and create peaceful societies in Central PA and beyond.

This year Symposium included the following panels:
– Peace Movements under Siege
– Prospects for Peace in the World’s Hottest Spots:
                        Israel/Palestinian
                        Russia/Ukraine
                         Iraq, Syria/ISIS/ Religious Extremism
– After Ferguson – Prospects for Peace at Home

SPECIAL THANKS TO DR. ZIED MHRISI
 Dr. Zied Mehrisi, Tunisian-American Young Professionals,  provided information about the beginnings of the Arab Spring to English speakers around the world during the Tunisian Revolution. He was keynote speaker over lunch and provided insights into how Tunisia’s Revolution was more peaceful than those that followed in the heralded “Arab Spring.”
