Dr. David Kenley (Ph.D. University of Hawai’i, M.A. University of Utah, B.A. Brigham Young University) has been at Elizabethtown College since 2004. His research focuses on the history of Asia, particularly modern China.  Recently, he has focused his attention on China’s influence in Cuba and brings  a unique perspective to the discussions of Cuba and the U.S.  Dr. Kenley currently is writing a history of the Church of the Brethren missionaries in China in the early twentieth century.

Great Decisions is America’s largest discussion program on world affairs. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book, watching the DVD and joining expert speakers to discuss the most critical issues facing the world today.

Each year, eight topics are chosen by Foreign Policy Association’s panel of experts. The list of 2016 topics can be found here.
