World Affairs Council Interns Visit the Capitol!

World Affairs Council Interns Visit the Capitol!

On Wednesday, June 19th, the college and high school interns of the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg had the privilege of touring the Pennsylvania State Capitol. At the Capitol, interns met with Lt. Governor John Fetterman and discussed his role in the Capitol, his past as a social worker, and the role of youth in politics.

Then, interns toured the Capitol chambers, visiting the Governor’s office, the floor of the PA Senate, the floor of the PA House of Representatives, and the office of the PA House Speaker Rep. Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny County). The interns and the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg were honored by a formal introduction onto the House floor by Speaker Turzai.

A special thanks to all those who made this trip possible!
