The Cumberland Valley Team will go to Washington, D.C. on April 28 to participate in the national competition on behalf of the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg!

ACADEMIC WORLDQUEST COMPETITION

The World Affairs Council of Harrisburg each year sponsors the annual Academic WorldQuest competition, a team game testing competitors’ knowledge of world affairs, geography, history, culture, countries, current events, and more.

2017 Winning Team from Cedar Cliff!

Last year’s winner was the team from Cedar Cliff High School, coached by Angela Kamps.

First Place

Cedar Cliff High School: Patrick Yohe, Aidan Moretz, Nada Rahmouni, and Avery Peiffer.

Second Place

The Milton Hershey School: Jesse Lin, Seamus Burns, Evan Sensenig, and Tamoya Payne.

Third Place

Cumberland Valley High School: Abigail West, Alex Crosby, Hayden Dubniczki, and Jill Pasewark.

What makes a team? A team consists of 4 high school students.  Fees for teams:

One team: $30.00

Two teams: $50.00

Three teams: $60.00

How the competition works: There will be 10 rounds. Each round will have 10 multiple choice questions. A prominent moderator will present these questions by PowerPoint. Teams then confer to reach a single answer. Each round is thematically different from the other rounds.
