She heads a team of analysts who keep investors, companies, and governments informed on Chinese tech policy and regulation. Kendra has served as a key expert for heads of state and Fortune 500 companies on Chinese tech issues. Her research interests include AI, the data economy, and Chinese government digital infrastructure systems. She is also a non-resident fellow at the National Bureau of Asian Research.
Kendra was based primarily in China from 2002 to 2022 and began her career as a developer and user researcher during the early days of China’s internet boom.
With extensive experience advising heads of state and Fortune 500 companies, Kendra offers expert insights into China’s rapidly evolving economy, business environment, and technology sector. The World Affairs Council of Harrisburg and Elizabethtown College will join more than 60 venues across the country for the program, which includes a nationwide livestream on Tuesday, April 7, at 6:30 p.m. ET. The nationwide stream will feature discussions on the current state and future trajectory of the U.S.-China relationship with Stephen Biegun, former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, and Sarah Beran, former Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and former Senior Director for China and Taiwan Affairs at the White House National Security Council.
