  • Chad Dion Lassiter
    Chad Dion Lassiter
    Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission

    Lassiter is the current Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, where he investigates complaints of unlawful discrimination in areas like employment, housing, commercial property, education, and public accommodations. A nationally recognized expert in the field of American Race Relations, Lassiter has worked on race, peace, and poverty- related issues in the U.S., Africa, Canada, Haiti, Israel, and Norway, and is called upon frequently by media outlets to provide commentary on race relations and potential solutions.

  • Dr. Mireille Rebeiz
    Dr. Mireille Rebeiz
    Associate Professor of Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies & Francophone & Middle Eastern Studies at Dickinson College

    Dr. Rebeiz received her doctorate in Francophone Studies from Florida State University in 2012. She has a master’s degree in International Law and Human Rights from Université de Rouen in France, and a bachelor’s degree in private law from Saint Joseph University in Lebanon. Dr. Rebeiz’ teaching and research focus on the intersectionality of law, gender, sexuality, oral history, and trauma in the context of armed conflicts with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa. Her book “Gendering Civil War. Francophone Women’s Writing in Lebanon” was published by Edinburgh University Press (March 2022). Several of her articles appeared in peer-reviewed national and international journals. Currently, She is working on her second book project on war crimes and terrorism in Lebanon during the civil war (1975-1991). She is also finishing her second doctorate in International Law (SJD) at Penn State Dickinson Law.

    Larisa Vukovic, sHRBP is an HR professional with more than 20 years of experience. She is a best known as a Ukrainian refugees advocate for the Central PA region. Her family migrated to the US in early 1990 from Ukraine. As a refugee herself, she can relate to many challenges that newly arrived refugees may encounter.
