The World Affairs Council of Harrisburg invites you to a virtual Great Decisions lecture featuring Dr. Ali Dinar, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Africana Studies at the University of Pennsylvania.
Africa’s geopolitical importance is rapidly expanding, reshaping global diplomacy, economics, and security. In this lecture, Dr. Dinar will examine the evolving role of the United States in Africa, the implications of China’s growing presence on the continent, and what lessons U.S. policymakers might draw from that engagement. Special attention will be given to strategic partnerships with leading nations such as Nigeria and the diplomatic, economic, and political tools the U.S. can deploy to strengthen its ties across Africa.
This discussion offers valuable insight into Africa’s place in the global order and the future of U.S.–Africa relations.
