Iftar Dinner & Film Screening
Join us in Gibble Auditorium for a special screening of “The Muddy River Of Baasim,” a film about finding one’s place in a violent and weary world, presented in partnership with The Bowers Writers House, The Center for Global Understanding and Peacebuilding, The Center for Community and Civic Engagement, and The World Affairs Council of Harrisburg. After the film, join us (email registration necessary by March 4th – writershouse@etown.edu) for an Iftar dinner in the KAV at 6:45. Iftar is the fast-breaking evening meal of Muslims in Ramadan; the daily fast during Ramadan begins immediately after the pre-dawn meal of suhur and continues during the daylight hours, ending with sunset with the evening meal of Iftar. This film and meal is a special combination of events, and we invite you to be part of the experience!
