9:00~INTRODUCTION

Meet WACH’s 2014 interns, as well as the speakers and local politicians.

9:20~YOUTH IN POLITICS

Did you know that there are more females in government in Afghanistan than there are in Pennsylvania? The debate between a leader of the Democrat and Republican Party will ensue.

10:45~THE CHANGING NATURE OF MEDIA

This panel will be lead by multiple journalists who will demonstrate how media has evolved from a respected to a more discrete profession. There will also be an open discussion on the evolution of journalism and social media.

11:45~LUNCH

Enjoy a variety of foods while listening to the talented young violinist Maya Boyd. Or, view the film Not My Life, sponsored by the World Affairs Councils of America.

12:45~ENTREPRENEURSHIP

This panel will engage you in matters regarding business and marketing. There will be tips on personal marketing and the significance of a professional presence online.

1:30~LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP

These activities are designed develop your leadership skills by identifying the characteristics of  great leaders and highlighting the importance of your participation in society. 

3:00~CONCLUSION
