Educators, Activists & Humanitarians–2017 Torch Honorees!

CATE BARRON KEYNOTES “TORCH AWARDS”

The World Affairs Council of Harrisburg celebrated the achievements of individuals, organizations and educators in advancing issues of global importance during ceremonies on May 18, 2017 at Harrisburg University.  Awards were presented for efforts to advance international education,  environmental sustainability, international law, human rights and support for refugees and immigrants.
The event will began with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the awards presentation.  High school students who participated in the Council’s 2017 Global Scholars program were honored with their certificates at the event.
