Looking back at the covid-19 pandemic, there are many lessons to take away in terms of domestic and international policies. Dr. José de Arimatéia da Cruz is a Professor of International Relations and International Studies at Georgia Southern University, Savannah, GA. He also serves as an Adjunct Research Professor at the U.S. Army War College, Strategic Studies Institute, Carlisle, PA, and a Research Fellow at the Brazil Research Unit, Council on Hemispheric Affairs in Washington, DC. Additionally, he has held visiting teaching appointments at various institutions globally. Dr. da Cruz holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in political science from Miami University, Oxford, OH, and an M.P.H. in public health from Georgia Southern University.
