Rev. Dr. Musa Mambula knows well the terror of Boko Haram, the militant group committing mass murder in Nigeria in the name of God. Rev. Mambula is the national spiritual adviser of Ekklesiyar Yan ‘Uwa a Nigeria – the largest national body of Church of the Brethren in the world. He will tell his story to the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 at Widener University in Harrisburg.
Rev. Musa Mambula, his wife Sarah and their daughter Beatrice experienced the wrath of Boko Haram in July when Muslim extremists killed 83 Christians and burned his church to the ground. They also burned 28 other churches in his home state of Borno, Nigeria. Despite the attacks, he preaches the importance of peace and tolerance.
