Dr. Oralia Garcia Dominic, a member of the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg’s board of directors, lead a team of experts to compile the first Latino-Hispanic Cancer Burden Report that was released Friday at a press conference at the State Capitol. Dr. Garcia was part of a team that included Dr. Eugene J. Lengerich, a physician at Penn State Medical Center. The research was funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health, the National Cancer Institute and the Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities.
